West Contract Recruiting was founded in 2018 during a time of unexpected change. After a layoff, I found myself navigating the uncertainty of the job market, which led to the slow and sometimes lonely process of building a business from the ground up. Despite the challenges, I had a clear mission: to bridge the gap between exceptional talent and forward-thinking companies.
Then came March 11, 2020. The World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic, and the world as we knew it came to a standstill. During this time of unprecedented uncertainty, West Contract Recruiting went silent. As the world began to adapt to a new normal, I returned to the job market, eventually securing what seemed like a great full-time role. However, in February 2023, I found myself laid off once again. This experience reignited my passion and determination. I vowed never to go through such uncertainty again. More importantly, I committed to returning to the core values that first drew me to the field of Human Resources over 30 years ago—the “human” side of relationships and partnerships. West Contract Recruiting is born out of a commitment to integrity and a passion for empowering both candidates and employers. I understand the struggles and triumphs of the job market because I’ve lived them.
